Cheers to downtown!
Food and Brew showcases restaurants
Thousands braved oppressive heat and a late-afternoon thunderstorm to attend Newark’s 13th-annual Food and Brew Festival on Saturday. Eighteen downtown bars and restaurants offered beer samples paired with special menu items ranging from $2 to $10. Participating for the first time was Churrascaria Saudades, which opened earlier this year in Newark Shopping Center, and Mediterranean Grille, which recently obtained a liquor license.
