Con­cert fundraiser: Tonight, 7 p.m., at the Uni­tar­ian Univer­sal­ist Fel­low­ship of Ne­wark, 420 Willa Road. He­len Avakian, a singer, song­writer and gui­tarist from Wis­con­sin, will per­form. Event raises money for UUFN. $15. Open stu­dio: Satur­day and Sun­day, 1 to 3 p.m., at Wynn Bres­lin Stu­dio, 470 Ter­rapin Lane. Artist Wynn Bres­lin will give tours of her stu­dio. Free. Me­mo­rial Day con­cert: Sun­day, 3 p.m., at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 701 S. Col­lege Ave. The New Ark Cho­rale will per­form Amer­i­can mu­sic, from new com­po­si­tions by Amer­i­can com­poser Dan For­rest to a med­ley of songs from the Wizard of Oz, end­ing with Wil­housky’s ar­range­ment of the “Bat­tle Hymn of the Repub­lic” and other mu­sic that re­flects the deep emo­tional im­pact of Me­mo­rial Day. An ice cream so­cial will fol­low the con­cert. Tick­ets are $15 and avail­able at the door. Kids un­der 18 ad­mit­ted free. Con­cert: Thurs­day, 7 p.m., on the Acad­emy Lawn. The Ne­wark Parks and Recre­ation Depart­ment’s spring con­cert se­ries con­tin­ues with Paul Cullen per­form­ing Latin acous­tic mu­sic. First Fri­day Ride: June 2, 5:30 p.m., at Ne­wark Shop­ping Cen­ter. A ca­sual com­mu­nity bike ride spon­sored by BikeNe­wark be­gins at the shop­ping cen­ter and trav­els through the city. Af­ter the ride, par­tic­i­pants will meet at the Ne­wark Bike Project for food and drinks. Par­tic­i­pants may park for free at the shop­ping cen­ter.
