Pres­sure washer, gen­er­a­tor stolen from Home De­pot

A man who al­legedly stole a pres­sure washer and gen­er­a­tor from Home De­pot last week is still at large, ac­cord­ing to author­i­ties.

Ne­wark Po­lice spokesman Lt. Fred Nel­son said the theft oc­curred at 7:24 p.m. July 18 at the store lo­cated in Sub­ur­ban Plaza off Elk­ton Road, but it wasn’t re­ported un­til July 20.

An em­ployee told po­lice a man left the store push­ing a cart con­tain­ing a pres­sure washer and a gen­er­a­tor but did not pay for the items, which were worth $1,198.

NPD re­leased sur­veil­lance pho­tos of the sus­pect, who is de­scribed as a black man wear­ing a white-and­black-striped polo shirt and black shorts. He was re­port­edly seen leav­ing the store in a car with a Delaware reg­is­tra­tion of 211835, which Nel­son said be­longs on a blue 2003 Honda Ac­cord.
