Newark Post - - LOCAL NEWS -

A cashier at a Glasgow pharmacy suffered minor injuries while trying to fend off a robber Monday afternoon.

The robber entered the Rite Aid in Peoples Plaza and approached the cashier to make a purchase, said Sgt. Richard Bratz, a spokesman for Delaware State Police. When the cashier opened the cash register drawer, the robber reached over the counter and grabbed an undisclosed amount of money.

The clerk suffered a minor injury while attempting to pull the robber away from the register, Bratz said.

The robber — a thin black man, 5 feet 6 inches tall and between 40 and 50 years old — ran out of the store and into the parking lot of the shopping center.
