Matthew Cassel, 22, of Telford, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at his home.
Born March 27, 1990, in Chestnut Hill, Matt was the youngest of the four sons of John and Kim (FanelliF Cassel of Telford.
Matt attended the Souderton Area school system and graduated from Souderton Area High School in 2008. He enjoyed all sports but was especially fond of skateboarding, saying at one time he wanted to be a pro skateboarder. Matt made friends easily with peers and espe- cially their parents. He loved being around small children, but his two favorite were his nieces, Grayce and Lucy Cassel.
In addition to his parents, Matt is survived by his biggest joy in life, his 4-yearold son, Brayden M. Cassel, of Lansdale; he was happiest whenever Brayden was with him. They had a truly special bond. Matt is also survived by three brothers, Joe Cassel and his wife, Melissa, and their daughter, Grayce, of Towamencim; Michael Cassel and his wife, Meredith, of Philadelphia; and Ryan Cassel and his companion, Heather McGuire, and their GDuJKWHU, LuFy, RI HDWfiHOG. Also, he has many nieces and nephews around the country. His two pet vorkies, Holly and Maggy, will miss his company as they were always eager to greet him when he came home.
Matt was preceded in death by his two grandfathers, George Fanelli, of Lansdale, and William Cassel, of HatfiHOG; DnG KLV JUDnGPRWKHU, Gladys Fanelli, of Lansdale.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Matt Cassel will be held Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Christ Reformed Church at Indian Creek, 171 Church Road, Telford, PA 18969. The family will begin to receive friends and guests at 10 a.m. and the service will begin at 11:30 a.m. There will be a luncheon immediately following the service.
