The walks are free and if you pre-reg­is­ter, you can bor­row one of the park’s GPS units for the walk. Each walk will last about an hour. Wear com­fort­able walking shoes or boots and dress for the weather. Geo­cache walks may be can­celled due to win­ter weather or un­safe trail con­di­tions.

At 10 a.m. Sun­day, March 17, the meet­ing place will be Top Rock Trail park­ing lot at State Game Lands #157 (Hay­cock Moun­tain) and there will be three geo­caches. To pre-reg­is­ter: www. dcnr.state.pa.us/cal­en­dar and choose Nock­amixon as your fa­cil­ity. In­for­ma­tion: 215529-7307.

Erika Sands, ed­u­ca­tion co­or­di­na­tor, will take the chil­dren on an ad­ven­ture through chil­dren’s books writ­ten by Pearl S. Buck. Par­ents and chil­dren can take part in a va­ri­ety of hands-on ac­tiv­i­ties and projects.

• 7KH Cal­vary Out­door Expo 2013 will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Satur­day, March 2 at Cal­vary Church, 820 Route 113 in Hill­town.

Ac­tiv­i­ties for the en­tire fam­ily range from sem­i­nars and dis­plays to ex­treme air in­flat­able quad pods and a 24 foot rock wall.

This year’s new features in­clude a vir­tual re­al­ity fish­ing sim­u­la­tor. Lo­cal ex­perts will share their ex­pe­ri­ences and ad­vice on out­door ac­tiv­i­ties. For teens, there are out­door ac­tiv­i­ties such as laser tag, an in­flat­able vol­ley­ball dome and mi­cro­re­al­ity NASCAR rac­ing. For chil­dren, there are an­i­mal shows, face paint­ing, a Reel Kids cast­ing con­test, a plan­e­tar­ium and archery prac­tice.
