German publisher inks deal with manroland
Bonifatius GmbH purchased a Rotoman DirectDrive from manroland press systems for its publishing house in Paderborn, Germany. The new press replaces an older, 16-page press also from manroland.
The new Rotoman has four printing units with a cylinder circumference of 630 mm, and a speed of up to 65,000 cylinder revolutions per hour. The press is also equipped with AutoJobChange and manroland web systems Inline Control System for ink density control with photo spectral measurements, or the dynamic cut-off register control ICCd. The press will also have the manroland ControlCenter.
“We are convinced of our business model and therefore we are investing in the expansion of our printing house and as a result in the development of digital media products,” said Rolf Pitsch, managing director at Bonifatius. “Naturally the most innovative technology available is part and parcel of this process for us.”
