Norway’s Amedia turns to MWM’s cloud-based tool
Amedia Trykk, Norway’s largest publisher of local media titles, is using MWM’s cloudbased Production Planning (PPC) tool to run six printing plants and coordinate 65 titles. The work at Amedia has been involved in developing the new cloud-based system for Stockholm-based MWM.
PPC allows Amedia Trykk to plan titles, print jobs and deliveries. Amedia can book inserts directly onto titles. Most of Amedia’s inserts are imported to the system from the Norwegian national insert booking system.
The newspapers use a web portal to enter information into the system regarding circulation and number of pages. In CopyTrack, Amedia monitors the production in real time and collects production data for analysis.
“We now have, in every single order, detailed information on the customer, product name, issues, number of pages, paper grade, circulations, etc. Other valuable information is that we easily get a clear view of coverage and capacity utilization,” says Ketil Haugland, CTO of Amedia print and distribution.
