Druck Styria places large or­der with man­roland

Aus­trian firm Druck Styria has or­dered a new COLORMAN e:line news­pa­per print­ing press, a retro­fit of an ex­ist­ing COLORMAN, as well as a ser­vice con­tract run­ning un­til 2027 with Ger­man com­pany man­roland web sys­tems. The or­der amounts to around 16 mil­lion eu­ros (some $17.9 mil­lion).

In the broad pic­ture, more than half of man­roland’s or­der in­take is com­ing from the ser­vice sec­tor and 2016 brought “a marked or­ganic growth in the ser­vice sec­tor, which leaves us as a com­pany more in­de­pen­dent of the cy­cles of plant engi­neer­ing and more sta­ble for fu­ture strate­gic ori­en­ta­tion,” said Alexan­der Wasser­mann, man­roland’s man­ag­ing di­rec­tor. Cur­rently the cor­po­rate group em­ploys around 1,200 world­wide.

In early 2017, man­roland launched a mecha­tronic com­po­nents sup­plier, man roland web pro du kt ions ge sell sc haft, pro­vid­ing de­sign, com­po­nents man­u­fac­tur­ing, assem­bly, ca­bling, com­mis­sion­ing and qual­ity con­trol.
