Druck Styria places large order with manroland
Austrian firm Druck Styria has ordered a new COLORMAN e:line newspaper printing press, a retrofit of an existing COLORMAN, as well as a service contract running until 2027 with German company manroland web systems. The order amounts to around 16 million euros (some $17.9 million).
In the broad picture, more than half of manroland’s order intake is coming from the service sector and 2016 brought “a marked organic growth in the service sector, which leaves us as a company more independent of the cycles of plant engineering and more stable for future strategic orientation,” said Alexander Wassermann, manroland’s managing director. Currently the corporate group employs around 1,200 worldwide.
In early 2017, manroland launched a mechatronic components supplier, man roland web pro du kt ions ge sell sc haft, providing design, components manufacturing, assembly, cabling, commissioning and quality control.
