Print de­liv­ery sys­tems can be com­pli­cated and in­volve a lot of co­or­di­na­tion. En­vi­sion De­liv­ery Sys­tems is at­tempt­ing to make de­liv­ery eas­ier and much more or­ga­nized. The web and mo­bile app that will be soon avail­able to pub­li­ca­tions have track­ing fea­tures as well as route op­ti­miza­tion, flex­i­ble va­ca­tion starts/ stops, and fea­tures for missed de­liv­er­ies.

Pub­li­ca­tions that have hired con­trac­tors to de­liver their papers used to have to rely on much more ar­chaic sys­tems or un­re­li­able con­trac­tors with no great way to check the progress. En­vi­sion De­liv­ery sys­tems aims to stream­line the process with its Sin­gle Copy and Route Trax Home De­liv­ery sys­tems.

Sin­gle Copy can han­dle up to 10 pub­li­ca­tions with un­lim­ited de­liv­ery. It al­lows for the com­bin­ing of weekly and daily de­liv­er­ies. The Home De­liv­ery sys­tem lets users, through Route Trax, see and change de­tailed in­for­ma­tion, whether that per­tains to cus­tomers or sub­scrip­tion sched­ules. This sys­tem tracks va­ca­tions, mak­ing sure that cus­tomers don’t get sub­scrip­tions when they’re gone, but will have ser­vice re­sume au­to­mat­i­cally when they re­turn.

The app was de­vel­oped to al­low cus­tomi- za­tion for both par­ties. If a cus­tomer, say, goes out of town for three days on the third week of the month and wants the daily pa­per ev­ery day but those three days, the cus­tomer has that op­tion. In re­gards to missed de­liv­er­ies, the app al­lows for a push no­ti­fi­ca­tion, and can nav­i­gate con­trac­tors back to the missed lo­ca­tion. It en­ables con­trac­tors to print their in­voices with mo­bile Blue­tooth print­ers and al­lows for a log in and track­ing sys­tem for ev­ery con­trac­tor out on de­liv­ery.

On the man­age­ment side, the app al­lows for full track­ing of con­trac­tors’ lo­ca­tion notes for spe­cific de­liv­er­ies. “If a con­trac­tor gets lost, they get Google Map direc­tions that will help them to their next de­liv­ery. It even al­lows for routes to form be­tween de­liv­er­ies,” said James Vaught, head of En­vi­sion De­liv­ery Sys­tems. “I’m even able to send push no­ti­fi­ca­tions to the con­trac­tors, ei­ther by in­di­vid­ual routes, or even by dis­tricts.”

The app helps con­trac­tors ef­fi­ciently de­liver, with Google Maps nav­i­ga­tion. Con­trac­tors can get direc­tions from the prior de­liv­ery lo­ca­tion to the next, al­low­ing them to de­liv­ery papers quickly with­out as much has­sle.
