Print delivery systems can be complicated and involve a lot of coordination. Envision Delivery Systems is attempting to make delivery easier and much more organized. The web and mobile app that will be soon available to publications have tracking features as well as route optimization, flexible vacation starts/ stops, and features for missed deliveries.
Publications that have hired contractors to deliver their papers used to have to rely on much more archaic systems or unreliable contractors with no great way to check the progress. Envision Delivery systems aims to streamline the process with its Single Copy and Route Trax Home Delivery systems.
Single Copy can handle up to 10 publications with unlimited delivery. It allows for the combining of weekly and daily deliveries. The Home Delivery system lets users, through Route Trax, see and change detailed information, whether that pertains to customers or subscription schedules. This system tracks vacations, making sure that customers don’t get subscriptions when they’re gone, but will have service resume automatically when they return.
The app was developed to allow customi- zation for both parties. If a customer, say, goes out of town for three days on the third week of the month and wants the daily paper every day but those three days, the customer has that option. In regards to missed deliveries, the app allows for a push notification, and can navigate contractors back to the missed location. It enables contractors to print their invoices with mobile Bluetooth printers and allows for a log in and tracking system for every contractor out on delivery.
On the management side, the app allows for full tracking of contractors’ location notes for specific deliveries. “If a contractor gets lost, they get Google Map directions that will help them to their next delivery. It even allows for routes to form between deliveries,” said James Vaught, head of Envision Delivery Systems. “I’m even able to send push notifications to the contractors, either by individual routes, or even by districts.”
The app helps contractors efficiently deliver, with Google Maps navigation. Contractors can get directions from the prior delivery location to the next, allowing them to delivery papers quickly without as much hassle.
