Con­necti­cut Post build­ing sold

A New York York-based Next Step Cre­ative Group has bought the down­town Bridge­port build­ing where the Con­necti­cut Post was lo­cated for ninety years. e four-story, 57,870-square-foot build­ing, built in 1928, went for $1.15 mil­lion, the paper re­ports. e build­ing will be ren­o­vated and rented out.

Fair eld-based com­mer­cial real es­tate rm An­gel Com­mer­cial rep­re­sented the buyer and Cush­man & Wake eld rep­re­sented the seller in the deal.

In­vest­ment rm Next Step Cre­ative Group de­vel­ops spa­ces for ed­u­ca­tional and vo­ca­tional pro­grams.

“Bridge­port has a lot to o er in in­dus­trial, o ce as well as ed­u­ca­tional elds, so we think that we are in­vest­ing in a bright fu­ture and Bridge­port is a part of that in­vest­ment,” co-owner David Esfhani.

Last fall Con­necti­cut Post sta moved from the o ce build­ing to a new down­town spot three blocks away.
