ABB cus­tomers get­ting sys­tem up­grades

ree ABB cus­tomers have re­cently or­dered up­grades to sys­tems es­sen­tial for their pro­duc­tion, the Switzer­land-based com­pany says.

Me­di­a­works, pub­lisher of many pa­pers in Hun­gary, has or­dered an up­grade to its print pro­duc­tion man­age­ment sys­tem, MPS Pro­duc­tion. e lat­est ver­sion of MPS Pro­duc­tion 6 will go into ser­vice at the start of next year. In ad­di­tion, they have also or­dered hard­ware up­grades to their press con­trol con­soles.

Sin­ga­pore Press Hold­ings, pub­lisher of ti­tles such as the Straits Times, has or­dered soft­ware up­grades for the 16 con­trol con­soles on their KBA Com­man­der presses at their Jurong print site. e new con­soles on the rst of the four presses will be com­mis­sioned at the end of Fe­bru­ary 2019. e work in­cludes the trans­fer of a se­ries of SPH-spe­cific func­tions to the new plat­form as well as an up­graded in­ter­face to their WPC reg­is­ter con­trol sys­tem.

Rhein-Neckar Zeitung in Hei­del­berg, Ger­many, has or­dered hard­ware up­grades for its six con­trol con­soles. e hard­ware up­grades will be de­liv­ered in No­vem­ber 2018.
