Thelma sir­ginia (Rapp) Karr, 89, of Worces­ter, for­merly of Lans­dale and Ambler, passed away Tues­day, Septem­ber 11, 2012 at Mead­owood at Worces­ter. She was the wife of the late Streeper Karr, III.

Born April 7, 1923, in Kim­ber­ton, she was the daugh­ter of the late ser­non Rapp and Fyeatta (Scherer) Rapp. She mar­ried Mr. Karr in 1955 and worked as his part­ner for al­most 50 years in their home­build­ing busi­ness.

Mrs. Karr was a mem­ber of Cen­tral Sch­wenk­felder church. She was a mem­ber of the DAR, serv­ing as an of­fiFHU IRU ERWK FKDSWHU DQG VWDWH level. Ear­lier, she was ac­tive with girl scouts as a vol­un­teer as troop leader and also held lead­er­ship roles at the dis­trict level. Mrs. Karr was a for­mer mem­ber of dlen­side r.C.C. where she taught Sun­day school and was ac­tive with the women’s circle. She loved trav­el­ing, read­ing and spend­ing time with her fam­ily, es­pe­cially her grand­chil­dren.

She is sur­vived by her chil­dren, Su­san Ny­dick, and her hus­band Robert L. Jr. of Lower dwynedd; Sara dow­ing and her hus­band James of Lower dwynedd; her sis­ters, Ar­leen Favinger, Mary Ann Springer, Eve­lyn Lan­dis, and Joan Diener; and four grand­chil­dren.

In ad­di­tion to her hus­band she was pre­de­ceased by two broth­ers and two sis­ters.

Rel­a­tives and friends at­tended her funeral at 3 p.m. on Sun­day Septem­ber 16, 2012 at Cen­tral Sch­wenk­felder Church, 2111 sal­ley Forge Rd., Lans­dale Pa 19446, where friends called for the view­ing from 2 to 3 p.m. In­ter­ment fol­lowed in the ad­join­ing church ceme­tery.
