The Men­non­ite Her­itage Cen­ter, 565 Yoder Rd, Har­leysville, will of­fer the fol­low­ing pro­grams (call 215-256-3020 or visit www. mhep.org to reg­is­ter or for more in­for­ma­tion):

• Cro­chet rag rug work­shop: Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Textile artist Cathy Het­z­necker will teach par­tic­i­pants to make a cro­cheted rag rug, us­ing old and new fab­ric. Fee: A55 (A50 for mem­bers), plus a ma­te­ri­als fee of A6.

• Rug hook­ing work­shop: Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. De­signer and teacher Cindy Ir­win will teach par­tic­i­pants how to hook onto a wool back­ground and how to con­struct a bag with an in­ter­nal frame and then at­tach feet to the bag. Fee: A55 (A50 for mem­bers). Par­tic­i­pants can choose a large bag kit for A85 or a small bag kit for A63.

Mor­gan Log House, at 850 Weikel Road, Lans­dale, will hold a Chil­dren’s Bird Feeder Work­shop Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. to noon. The work­shop is open to el­e­men­tary school chil­dren, who will make a log cabin bird feeder to take home. Par­ents are en­cour­aged to par­tic­i­pate.
