She was a vol­un­teer for Meals on Wheels, Care C Share Thrift Shop, Soud­er­ton Men­non­ite Homes and the Fresh Air Pro­gram and a mem­ber of the Penn Foun­da­tion Aux­il­iary. She was also a mem­ber of Soud­er­ton Men­non­ite Church, where she served as an elder, was in­volved with the Bi­ble study pro­grams, prayer min­istry and visi­ta­tion. Myr­tle was well- known for her en­cour­ag­ing notes and her lis­ten­ing ear. She is sur­vived by four chil­dren, H. Ray Mininger and his wife, Nancy, Nancy Lan­des and her hus­band, Mer­rill, Carolyn Der­s­tine and her hus­band, Mark, and Mary Benner and her hus­band, Steve, all of Telford, Pa.; a sis­ter, Janet Beer and her hus­band, Ken­neth, of Perkasie, Pa.; a sis­ter-in-law, Bertha Moyer, widow of Clyde Moyer, of Soud­er­ton, Pa.; 12 grand­chil­dren; and 17 great-grand­chil­dren.

She was pre­ceded in death by two broth­ers, Harley and Clyde Moyer.

Friends were in­vited to greet the fam­ily on Wed­nes­day, Sept. 26, 2012, at Soud­er­ton Men­non­ite Church, 105 W. Ch­est­nut St., Soud­er­ton, Pa., from 4 to 7 p.m. fol­lowed by a memo­rial ser­vice at 7:30 p.m.
