In 1962, the family moved to Ambler, where Mary continued her service to the community. She was very active in Calvary rnited Methodist Church, where she taught a Sunday school class, and was a stalwart member of rnited Methodist Women. She served as Republican committeewoman for nearly three decades in Ambler’s Third Ward and became a tradition at the polls on election days. She organized and operated a transportation service for area cancer patients for over 20 years, for which she was honored by the American Cancer Society. Mary also was an Avon representative for more than 30 years, winning many awards for her efforts.
Mary will be remembered best for her compassionate and loving disposition, which was characterized by a contagious, reassuring smile, and she will be greatly missed by her family and many, many friends.
