C.A.R. pro­vides op­por­tu­ni­ties for a child to de­velop a love of, and a re­spect for, our coun­try. The Na­tional So­ci­ety of the Chil­dren of the Amer­i­can Rev­o­lu­tion, founded in 1895, is the old­est pa­tri­otic or­ga­ni­za­tion for youths in our county. Mem­ber­ship is open to all chil­dren who are de­scen­dants of pa­tri­ots of the Amer­i­can Rev­o­lu­tion. AMBrCS (Amer­i­can Busi­ness Clubs) is a na­tional non-profit char­i­ta­ble as­so­ci­a­tion with a mis­sion ded­i­cated to cre­at­ing in­de­pen­dence for those with phys­i­cal dis­abil­i­ties. The mem­bers of the Up­per Gwynedd Chap­ter are in­volved in many projects within our community, in­clud­ing pro­vid­ing AmTrykes, ther­a­peu­tic tri­cy­cles spe­cially tai­lored to the needs of chil­dren with dis­abil­i­ties, the con­struc­tion of wheel­chair ramps, and the de­sign and con­struc­tion of a lo­cal play­ground. Mem­bers par­tic­i­pate in Spe­cial Olympics ac­tiv­i­ties and have do­nated many other gifts to fam­i­lies and or­ga­ni­za­tions sup­port­ing chil­dren with spe­cial needs.
