Plumstead Christian had very few opportunities Friday in its District One Class A sHPLfinDO PDWFKuS DJDLnsW top-seeded Faith Christian at Christopher Dock.

But the Panthers took advantage when it counted.

Just 2:39 into the second overtime, Jeff Melanson set up for a corner kick. The senior lofted the ball to 10-yards away from the far post and senior defender Max Drake headed the ball past a stunned Faith keeper to give the Panthers a 1-0 victory and a ticket into the District One title game against New Hope-polebury, a 1-0 winner over Christopher Dock in the nightcap.

The favored Lions pretty much dominated play for the entire match, cranking out 15 shots to just six for PlumsWHDd, fivH RI wKLFK FDPH during the second half when the Panthers were playing with the brisk wind whipping across the stadium.
