Man injured in motorcycle accident
One man was hurt in a motorcycle accident on Knapp Road near Lansdale Avenue in Montgomery Township Tuesday night.
The accident took place around 9:30 p.m. when the man, described by police as approximately 40 years old and wearing a helmet, lost control of his motorcycle while navigating a curve in the roadway.
The man was taken by Volunteer Medical Service Corps ambulance to Abington Memorial Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries, police said.
The motorcycle was damaged, causing a minor gas leak, and was towed from the scene, according to police, and the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
