Man in­jured in mo­tor­cy­cle ac­ci­dent

One man was hurt in a mo­tor­cy­cle ac­ci­dent on Knapp Road near Lans­dale Av­enue in Mont­gomery Town­ship Tues­day night.

The ac­ci­dent took place around 9:30 p.m. when the man, de­scribed by po­lice as ap­prox­i­mately 40 years old and wear­ing a hel­met, lost con­trol of his mo­tor­cy­cle while nav­i­gat­ing a curve in the road­way.

The man was taken by Vol­un­teer Med­i­cal Ser­vice Corps am­bu­lance to Abing­ton Me­mo­rial Hospi­tal for treat­ment of un­known in­juries, po­lice said.

The mo­tor­cy­cle was dam­aged, caus­ing a mi­nor gas leak, and was towed from the scene, ac­cord­ing to po­lice, and the cause of the ac­ci­dent re­mains un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion.
