Elizabeth “Betty” J. Carey, 75 of Maple Glen, passed away Satur­day, Dec. 8, 2012, at the Abing­ton Me­mo­rial Hospi­tal.

Born in Philadel­phia, she was the daugh­ter of the late Peter and Jane (nee out­kowski) Goshy. She was a homemaker and a mem­ber of the LuLu Coun­try Club. She found great joy in all as­pects of her life with her hus­band, fam­ily and friends.

Betty was the beloved wife for 56 years of John H. Carey, Sr. She was the de­voted mother of Betty Jean Car­bone and her hus­band, Al­bert, of Warmin­ster, John H. Carey, Jr. and his wife, Susie, of Ch­ester Springs, and Peter D. Carey and his wife, Beth, of Norristown. She was the lov­ing grand­mother of seven.
