Police: Teen sold drugs near school
oobert aewayne Weyant, 19, of Woodland arive in Lansdale, has been arrested on drug charges following an investigation carried out over several weeks, according to Lansdale police.
Lansdale police reportedly received information that Weyant was involved in the sale of drugs, police said. Borough police RIfiFHrs DssLJnHG WR WKH Montgomery County ais- trict Attorney’s Local arug Task Force conducted surveillance on Weyant at his residence on two separate occasions — in February and March 201P — and each time they allegedly observed him make a drug transaction with another individual, police said.
Lansdale police recovered the drugs Weyant allegedly sold both times, and the substances were determined to be marijuana, according to police.
TDsN IRrFH RIfiFHrs DORnJ with Lansdale detectives DnG SDWrRO RIfiFHrs sHrvHG a search warrant March 15 at Weyant’s home, which is located across the street from a school, and uncovered approximately 1 ounce of marijuana, paraphernalia and a digital scale, police said.
Weyant was arraigned before aistrict Judge Andrea auffy of Montgomery Township on several charges, including three felony counts of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, and misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana, as well as receipt in commerce. He was taken to Montgomery County Correctional Facility after failing to post bail set at 10 percent of A50,000. A preliminary hearing before aistrict Judge Borek is tentatively scheduled for April 9 at Lansdale aistrict Court.
