Easter Sunday shooting arrest made
A Philadelphia man has been arrested on charges of attempted murder following an Easter Sunday shooting in Lansdale. Montgomery County aistrict Attorney Risa setri Ferman and Lansdale Borough police Chief Robert Mcayre announced the arrest Tuesday.
Karim Walker, 20, was arrested April 1 after he alOHJHGOY fiUHG D VKRW DW KLV girlfriend’s brothers around 4 p.m. March 31, according to the Montgomery County DLVWULFW $WWRUQHY’V 2IfiFH. Walker was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assualt and related offenses, the release said.

No one had been injured, and a short time later, Walker was apprehended by Lower Gwynedd police with his 2-year-old child in the vehicle with him, the report states.
April 1, police executed a search warrant on the vehicle and found a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol that had been reported stolen in Philadelphia in August 2012 along with seven small bags of suspected marijuana, according to authorities.
The investigation revealed an ongoing dispute between Walker and the brothers of Walker’s girlfriend. On Easter Sunday, while at his girlfriend’s residence on East Main Street, Walker had a confrontation with two of her brothers that spilled into the alley outside, where Walker began yelling at the brothers and then pulled a handgun from his waistband, pointed WKH JUQ DW WKHP DQG fiUHG RQH VKRW EHIRUH flHHLQJ WKH VFHQH with his child in the vehicle, WKH D$’V RIfiFH VDLG.
Following his apprehension, Walker was arraigned before Magisterial aistrict Judge Andrea auffy, who set bail at $500,000 and he was taken to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, April 9.
