Name change coming to newspaper

Next week, readers will notice a change coming to our newspaper.

Starting May 3, a new name will appear on the front page as The Kutztown Area Patriot merges with The Hamburg Area Item, one of our other publications covering northern Berks County, to create The Northern Berks Patriot Item.

What won’t be changing, however, is our dedication to covering the Kutztown area community in our pages each edition.

The new Northern Berks Patriot Item will remain committed to covering the people, places and events that make our area such a great place to live and work, while also providing our readers with additional coverage of northern Berks County.

As the landscape of media

continues to change, we remain dedicated to providing our readers with the best possible coverage of their local communities, and we look forward to continuing to provide you with that service.
