Letters for Northwest Arkansas: Submit letters of fewer than 500 words at http://www.nwadg.com/submit/ letter, or email letters@nwadg.com with the text “Letter to the editor” in the subject. Mail to Letters to the editor, Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, P.O. Box 7, Springdale, AR 72765.

Not all letters received can be published or acknowledged, but clarity, brevity, context and originality are valued. All submitted material is subject to editing and may be published in all media. Letters and guest commentaries become the property of the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. Letters must include name, home address and daytime telephone number(s) for verification.

Guest commentaries of 750 words or less may be submitted by emailing gharton@nwadg.com.

Personal attacks and libelous or defamatory statements will not be published. Neither will personal disputes. Guest columns about political candidates are not published.
