UA-Fort Smith women take seventh

Arkansas-Fort Smith’s women’s team finished seventh Tuesday at the Cal State-San Marcos Fall Classic in San Marcos, Calif.

The Lady Lions shot a 644 (321-323) in the 36-hole tournament. Cal State-San Marcos won the event with a 585 (290-295). Sonoma State was second with a 608 (308-300).

Individually, Arkansas-Fort Smith’s Olivia Gibbs shot a 13-overpar 157 to finish tied for 13th. Cal State-San Marcos’ Jaime Jacob won with a 2-over 142.
