Spring­dale bank robbed

SPRING­DALE — A man robbed an Ar­vest Bank branch on Thurs­day morn­ing.

Po­lice went to the bank at 3950 W. Sun­set Ave. after they re­ceived a rob­bery re­port about 9:50 a.m., ac­cord­ing to a news re­lease is­sued by Lt. Jeff Tay­lor.

Po­lice were told upon ar­rival a white male be­tween the age 35 and 45 ap­proached a teller and de­manded money, Tay­lor said.

“The male then left the bank with an un­known amount of money,” Tay­lor said. “No weapons were used and no one was in­jured.”

The doors to the bank were locked after the rob­bery and one of the park­ing lot en­trances was blocked by a Spring­dale Po­lice car.

There has been a string of re­cent bank rob­beries in the area in­clud­ing:

Ar­vest Bank at 1113 Gar­land Ave. in Fayetteville on Jan. 3.

First Na­tional Bank at 350 E. Cen­ter­ton Blvd. in Cen­ter­ton on Dec. 23.

First Na­tional Bank at 4000 John­son Mill Blvd. in John­son on Nov. 28.
