Bella Vista man accused of stalking, cyberbullying
BENTONVILLE — A Bella Vista man was arrested Monday in connection with threatening a woman he would post a compromising photograph of her on Facebook or other social media sites, according to a police report.
Curtis Paul Weber, 32, was being held Tuesday in the Benton County Jail with no bond set. He was arrested in connection with stalking, a felony; cyberbullying, a misdemeanor; and violation of a no-contact order.
The woman went to the Rogers Police Department on March 20 and said she had an order of protection against Weber, her former boyfriend, but he tried to contact her by telephone and went to her home and work, according to a police report.
The woman told police Weber continuously called her phone or texted her and she blocked 13 telephone numbers he used, according to the police reports.
The woman also said Weber sent her an explicit picture of herself taken when the two were in a relationship. He threatened to post the photograph online if the woman didn’t contact him, according to the police reports.
The woman told police Weber called her 70 times while she waited for a short time in the Police Department lobby to speak to an officer, according to the reports.
An officer read some of the text messages and listened to some voice mail Weber is accused of leaving on the woman’s phone.
