State index edges up 0.36, ends at 341.75
The Arkansas Index, a price-weighted index that tracks the largest public companies based in the state, gained 0.36 to 341.75 Friday.
Eleven stocks declined and seven advanced.
Dillard’s fell 3 percent in heavy trading.
For the week, 12 stocks were up and six were down.
USA Truck had the best week, jumping 22 percent.
The index was developed by Bloomberg News and the Democrat-Gazette with a base value of 100 as of Dec. 30, 1997.
