Mercy clinic moves to larger quar­ters

Mercy Clinic Ortho­pe­dics and Mercy Sports Medicine cel­e­brated a new, larger fa­cil­ity Wed­nes­day at 1000 S. 52nd St. in Rogers. The 22,000-square-foot fa­cil­ity is near Mercy Clinic Rheuma­tol­ogy and Mercy Clinic In­ter­nal Medicine. The clin­ics are part of Mercy’s $247 mil­lion ex­pan­sion plan an­nounced in April 2016.

Mercy Clinic Ortho­pe­dics holds the Joint Com­mis­sion Gold Seal of Ap­proval for knee and hip re­place­ment. The clinic is able to do some joint re­place­ments as out­pa­tient surgery. Physi­cians pro­vide sub­spe­cialty ex­per­tise re­gard­ing the shoul­der, spine and pe­di­atric ortho­pe­dics.

The clinic houses 13 providers and fea­tures 41 ex­am­i­na­tion rooms and 15 cast­ing beds. Physi­cians work­ing at the clinic are Drs. Scott Cooper, W. Cody Gram­mer, Michael Grif­fey, Chad Jones, R. Ja­cob Kaler, John Mertz, Gan­non Ran­dolph and C. Wade Fox. Cer­ti­fied physi­cian as­sis­tants lo­cated in the clinic are Amanda Hart­man, Farrah Jen­nings, Kin­dle Si­mon, Julie Slavik and Lind­sey Small­ridge.

Mercy in­vested $1.3 mil­lion in the new clinic space, which is leased. Mercy’s con­struc­tion part­ners on the project in­cluded Stu­dio 6, Seger Architects Inc., Collins Haynes, Hart Cone Con­struc­tion and HCH Con­sult­ing.
