Act 1218 of 2005 in­creased the fines, penal­ties and pun­ish­ment for any­one found guilty of pass­ing a stopped school bus in Arkansas. Vi­o­la­tors shall be fined be­tween $250 and $1,000 and have their driver’s li­cense sus­pended be­tween three weeks and one year. They also may be or­dered to per­form up to 400 hours of com­mu­nity ser­vice.
