Miss Judi’s offers stylish clothes and accessories for women

- By Sarah Haney

Walking into Miss Judi’s Boutique at Wisteria Lane, you’ll notice this is a shop for the ladies. With everything from clothing and jewelry to gift cards and candles, finding a gift for the mother, grandmother, sister, or daughter in your life is no longer a daunting task.

Located at 103 W. Walnut St. in downtown Rogers, Miss Judi’s is a boutique catered to women. Even the name of the boutique takes into consideration the women who shop there. “When I first started, I named it Wisteria Lane — after the street where the women live on ‘Desperate Housewives’,” stated owner Judi Bacso. “I did that just sort of as a tonguein-cheek thing, because women would know. But, I had always just called the shop Miss Judi’s Boutique — so, now I call it Miss Judi’s Boutique at Wisteria Lane. Most people that know me and know the store will just call it Miss Judi’s.”

Judi, along with her late husband George, first bought the building where Miss Judi’s is located in 1996. At the time, Judi had a shop called Miss Judi’s Passion which was similar to the current boutique. “I left in 2002 and opened Judi’s Hallmark in Fayetteville,” noted Judi. “I closed that in 2009, but we’ve always owned this building and we renovated the upstairs and we have two apartments up there that stay rented all the time. And I would just lease out the downstairs.” That is, until 2013 when Judi’s husband was looking into retiring and suggested she open up another boutique since the building was open. Miss Judi’s Boutique at Wisteria Lane has been in business ever since then.

Browsing through the boutique, you will find many fine offerings including jewelry. Currently, Miss Judi’s carries a line of jewelry based out of southern Missouri called Dry Gulch, which is handmade jewelry made out of recycled old jewelry. “They’re beautiful,” added Judi. “They use old pins and crystals — they’re just gorgeous and very unique.”

All of the clothes in the boutique are made to flatter the figure — they are trendy and stylish, but they’re also very well-priced and comfortable. With the upcoming summer sale, there will be even more great prices on all of the beautiful clothing — including $20 and $15 sale racks. Miss Judi’s also usually has an ongoing sale rack full of fantastic pieces at a reasonable price.

In addition to clothes and jewelry, the boutique also carries a gift line, a candle line, and just added another card line, bringing it to three card lines offered. The boutique always has cute gifts that would make wonderful gifts for birthdays, Mother’s Day, Christmas — you name it. There is plenty of home décor for sale that would make a beautiful addition to your living space, along with a wide variety of fall accessories.

Miss Judi’s Boutique at Wisteria Lane is open every day, except Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The boutique will be open late on both nights of the Frisco Festival on Aug. 25-26.
