BELLA VISTA — Charles Ray “The Man of Steel”
Barnett, 73, of Bella Vista passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born Aug. 25, 1943, in Aransas Pass, Texas, to Pershing Overton and Towanda Jeanette Norvell Barnett.
Charles worked for Jones Truck Lines and retired after 21 years of service; he then followed his passion for music as a professional entertainer and musician at Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down for 10 years. His love for God drew him and Darlene to Calvary Freewill Baptist Church in Springdale which he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two great-grandchildren, Izabella Grace Carmean and Ivie Marjorie Bush. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Barnett of the home; two sons, Rick Boone of West Fork and Randy Boone and wife Rhonda of Decatur; three daughters, Stephanie Whorton and husband Tim of Lincoln, Cyndi Copher and husband James of Norman, Okla., and Terri Teters and husband Myron of Springdale; one brother, Jerry Barnett and wife Rosie of Elkins; one sister Cherlene Artman and husband Rick of Missouri; 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and family members.
Funeral service will be Saturday, July 8, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church in Springdale with Pastor Clark Snow and Rev. Wayne Morrison officiating. No visitation is planned.

Marilyn Elizabeth Briggs,
79, of Bentonville died Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at her residence. She was born March 16, 1938, in Minneapolis, Minn. She was a homemaker and a Catholic. Barbara Jean Jeffries, 74, of Bentonville passed away July 5, 2017, in her home surrounded by family. She was born April 14, 1943, in Fresno, Calif., the daughter of Ruben and Marjorie Love Birkle. Barbara retired from Walmart as a bookkeeper.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Dan Birkle and one sister, Evelyn Hunley. She is survived by her children, Ellen Brewington and husband David, Debra Simpson and husband Timothy, Robin Creeden, Robert C. Jeffries, Brian Jeffries and wife Michelle; two sisters, Elnora Harness and Carolyn Howard; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

BENTONVILLE — Faye Jeanette Mikulenka of Bentonville passed away on July 6, 2017. She was born on Oct. 2, 1938, in New Ulm, Texas, to the late Lester and Elsie Schweke.
She was the loving wife of Lester Mikulenka.
Faye is survived by her husband; her daughter, Pat Holden and husband Ken of Bentonville; grandson, JonMark Holden and his wife Courtney of Lewisville, Texas; a brother, Oliver Schweke and wife Lynn of New Ulm, Texas; and a dog, Rudy, who was her furbaby. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Rose Frers.
Visitation will be 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 8 at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers, with funeral services beginning at 3:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Bentonville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Circle of Life Hospice at nwacircleoflife.com.
Christine Costantino, age 62, of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017. She was born on March 2, 1955, in Pittsfield, Mass., to Pietro and Bess Ross Costantino.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Christine served four years in the U.S. Air Force as a medic. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in advertising from Penn State University. Her primary career was in pharmaceuticals. She was a lover of art, music, and travel. She will be missed most of all for her warmth, outgoing personality, and intelligence.
She is survived by her two sisters, Barbara Svenningsen and husband John of Charlestown, Rhode Island, and Julie Costantino and spouse Dana Hardage of Hot Springs; and three nieces, Amy Svenningsen, Alison Svenningsen, and Kristin Haxton.

FAYETTEVILLE — David Francis Hicks, age 78, of Fayetteville, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. He was born on Jan. 26, 1939, in Fayetteville, Ark., to Melvin and Minnie Lehman Hicks. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Daniel and Dennis Hicks.
David was a preacher and over the course of his life, pastored several churches. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and created many great memories with his family. He was very content with his life and was ready to meet the Lord.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Minnie Hicks of the home; his six daughters, Trish Leming and husband David, Christine Griffith and husband John, Melinda Osburne and husband Dennis, Paula Cradduck and husband Mike, Lisa Holt, and Lorrie Phillips and husband Roy; four sons, Jon Hicks and wife Angela, Buddy Carson and wife Tammy, Jeff Holt and wife Shonda, and Wade Reed and wife Cindy; two sisters, Geraldine Vickers and Geneva Hicks; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Renata Fritze Ray, age 53, of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. She was born on July 24, 1963, in Sedalia, Mo., to Jimmy Mack and Gudrun Reichel Ray.
She was preceded in death by her mother; and her beloved dog, Hercules.
Renata graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1981 and then went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Arkansas. She taught family and consumer science for more than 20 years at Farmington Middle School. Her in- town family were The Tennis Girlfriends of FAC where she developed many special relationships. Perhaps most of all was her deep love for animals. Her four-legged fur children were her pride and joy.
She is survived by her father, Jim Ray and wife Carol of Rogers; one sister, Wanda Johnson of Little Rock; two brothers, Rob Ray and wife Pam of Bentonville, and Marshell Pinchback and wife Anita Lee of Little Rock; several nieces and nephews; her good friend, Linda Meldrum Gilchrist of Leawood, Kansas; and her fur child, Hummie.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017, at Fellowship Bible Church at 3447 AR-112, Fayetteville, Ark., 72704. WINSLOW — Jerry Don
Ramey, age 61, a resident of Winslow, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Dec.r 5, 1955, in Prairie Grove, the son of Phineus Marion and Tressa (Easley) Ramey.
Jerry has worked at the University of Arkansas facilities management for 41 years where he has made countless friends and thought of them as family.
He was preceded in death by his two sons, Jonathan Ramey and Jerry Wayne Ramey, his mother, Tressa Ramey and one grandson, Jerron Foster.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Marcia Smith Ramey; two daughters, Jenniffer Johnson and husband Matt of Winslow and Jillian Foster and husband John of West Fork; his father, Phineus Ramey of Winslow; one brother, Ralph Ramey and wife Reba of Winslow; four sisters, Becky Wilson and husband Charlie, Linda Arispe and husband Frank, Teresa Carroll and husband Bryan and Wanda Mathias and husband Wayland all of Winslow; five grandchildren, Keegan Foster, Kennedy Foster, Kaden Foster, Hannah Ramey-Johnson and Hailey Ramey-Johnson and a host of nieces and nephews.
