BELLA VISTA — Charles Ray “The Man of Steel”

Bar­nett, 73, of Bella Vista passed away Tues­day, July 4, 2017, at Cir­cle of Life Hospice in Spring­dale. He was born Aug. 25, 1943, in Aransas Pass, Texas, to Per­sh­ing Over­ton and Towanda Jeanette Norvell Bar­nett.

Charles worked for Jones Truck Lines and re­tired after 21 years of ser­vice; he then fol­lowed his pas­sion for mu­sic as a pro­fes­sional en­ter­tainer and mu­si­cian at Ozark Moun­tain Hoe-Down for 10 years. His love for God drew him and Dar­lene to Cal­vary Freewill Baptist Church in Spring­dale which he loved.

He was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents and two great-grand­chil­dren, Iz­abella Grace Carmean and Ivie Mar­jorie Bush. Sur­vivors in­clude his wife, Dar­lene Bar­nett of the home; two sons, Rick Boone of West Fork and Randy Boone and wife Rhonda of Decatur; three daugh­ters, Stephanie Whor­ton and hus­band Tim of Lin­coln, Cyndi Co­pher and hus­band James of Nor­man, Okla., and Terri Teters and hus­band My­ron of Spring­dale; one brother, Jerry Bar­nett and wife Rosie of Elkins; one sis­ter Cher­lene Art­man and hus­band Rick of Mis­souri; 16 grand­chil­dren, 31 great grand­chil­dren and nu­mer­ous nieces, neph­ews and fam­ily mem­bers.

Funeral ser­vice will be Satur­day, July 8, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Cal­vary Freewill Baptist Church in Spring­dale with Pas­tor Clark Snow and Rev. Wayne Mor­ri­son of­fi­ci­at­ing. No vis­i­ta­tion is planned.

Mar­i­lyn El­iz­a­beth Briggs,

79, of Ben­tonville died Tues­day, July 4, 2017, at her res­i­dence. She was born March 16, 1938, in Min­neapo­lis, Minn. She was a home­maker and a Catholic. Barbara Jean Jef­fries, 74, of Ben­tonville passed away July 5, 2017, in her home sur­rounded by fam­ily. She was born April 14, 1943, in Fresno, Calif., the daugh­ter of Ruben and Mar­jorie Love Birkle. Barbara re­tired from Wal­mart as a book­keeper.

She is pre­ceded in death by her par­ents and one brother, Dan Birkle and one sis­ter, Eve­lyn Hun­ley. She is sur­vived by her chil­dren, Ellen Brew­ing­ton and hus­band David, De­bra Simp­son and hus­band Ti­mothy, Robin Cree­den, Robert C. Jef­fries, Brian Jef­fries and wife Michelle; two sis­ters, El­nora Har­ness and Carolyn Howard; nine grand­chil­dren and three great-grand­chil­dren.

BEN­TONVILLE — Faye Jeanette Miku­lenka of Ben­tonville passed away on July 6, 2017. She was born on Oct. 2, 1938, in New Ulm, Texas, to the late Lester and Elsie Sch­weke.

She was the lov­ing wife of Lester Miku­lenka.

Faye is sur­vived by her hus­band; her daugh­ter, Pat Holden and hus­band Ken of Ben­tonville; grand­son, JonMark Holden and his wife Court­ney of Lewisville, Texas; a brother, Oliver Sch­weke and wife Lynn of New Ulm, Texas; and a dog, Rudy, who was her furbaby. She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents, and her sis­ter, Rose Fr­ers.

Vis­i­ta­tion will be 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Satur­day, July 8 at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers, with funeral ser­vices be­gin­ning at 3:30 p.m. Burial will fol­low in Ben­tonville Ceme­tery. In lieu of flow­ers, do­na­tions may be made to Cir­cle of Life Hospice at nwacir­cle­oflife.com.

FAYET­TEVILLE —

Chris­tine Costantino, age 62, of Fayet­teville, passed away on Mon­day, July 3, 2017. She was born on March 2, 1955, in Pitts­field, Mass., to Pi­etro and Bess Ross Costantino.

She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents. Chris­tine served four years in the U.S. Air Force as a medic. She went on to earn a bach­e­lor’s de­gree in ad­ver­tis­ing from Penn State Univer­sity. Her pri­mary ca­reer was in phar­ma­ceu­ti­cals. She was a lover of art, mu­sic, and travel. She will be missed most of all for her warmth, out­go­ing per­son­al­ity, and in­tel­li­gence.

She is sur­vived by her two sis­ters, Barbara Sven­ningsen and hus­band John of Charlestown, Rhode Is­land, and Julie Costantino and spouse Dana Hardage of Hot Springs; and three nieces, Amy Sven­ningsen, Ali­son Sven­ningsen, and Kristin Hax­ton.

FAYET­TEVILLE — David Fran­cis Hicks, age 78, of Fayet­teville, passed away on Wed­nes­day, July 5, 2017. He was born on Jan. 26, 1939, in Fayet­teville, Ark., to Melvin and Min­nie Lehman Hicks. He was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents; and two broth­ers, Daniel and Den­nis Hicks.

David was a preacher and over the course of his life, pa­s­tored sev­eral churches. He was a won­der­ful hus­band, fa­ther and grand­fa­ther and cre­ated many great mem­o­ries with his fam­ily. He was very con­tent with his life and was ready to meet the Lord.

He is sur­vived by his lov­ing wife of 41 years, Min­nie Hicks of the home; his six daugh­ters, Tr­ish Lem­ing and hus­band David, Chris­tine Grif­fith and hus­band John, Melinda Os­burne and hus­band Den­nis, Paula Crad­duck and hus­band Mike, Lisa Holt, and Lorrie Phillips and hus­band Roy; four sons, Jon Hicks and wife An­gela, Buddy Car­son and wife Tammy, Jeff Holt and wife Shonda, and Wade Reed and wife Cindy; two sis­ters, Geral­dine Vick­ers and Geneva Hicks; 18 grand­chil­dren; and 19 great-grand­chil­dren.

Re­nata Fritze Ray, age 53, of Fayet­teville, passed away on Tues­day, July 4, 2017. She was born on July 24, 1963, in Sedalia, Mo., to Jimmy Mack and Gu­drun Re­ichel Ray.

She was pre­ceded in death by her mother; and her beloved dog, Her­cules.

Re­nata grad­u­ated from Fayet­teville High School in 1981 and then went on to earn a bach­e­lor’s de­gree in ed­u­ca­tion from the Univer­sity of Arkansas. She taught fam­ily and con­sumer sci­ence for more than 20 years at Farm­ing­ton Mid­dle School. Her in- town fam­ily were The Ten­nis Girl­friends of FAC where she de­vel­oped many spe­cial re­la­tion­ships. Per­haps most of all was her deep love for an­i­mals. Her four-legged fur chil­dren were her pride and joy.

She is sur­vived by her fa­ther, Jim Ray and wife Carol of Rogers; one sis­ter, Wanda Johnson of Lit­tle Rock; two broth­ers, Rob Ray and wife Pam of Ben­tonville, and Marshell Pinch­back and wife Anita Lee of Lit­tle Rock; sev­eral nieces and neph­ews; her good friend, Linda Meldrum Gilchrist of Lea­wood, Kansas; and her fur child, Hum­mie.

A memo­rial ser­vice will be held at 1 p.m. on Fri­day, July 7, 2017, at Fel­low­ship Bi­ble Church at 3447 AR-112, Fayet­teville, Ark., 72704. WINSLOW — Jerry Don

Ramey, age 61, a res­i­dent of Winslow, passed away Mon­day, July 3, 2017, at Wash­ing­ton Re­gional Med­i­cal Cen­ter in Fayet­teville. He was born Dec.r 5, 1955, in Prairie Grove, the son of Phineus Mar­ion and Tressa (Easley) Ramey.

Jerry has worked at the Univer­sity of Arkansas fa­cil­i­ties man­age­ment for 41 years where he has made count­less friends and thought of them as fam­ily.

He was pre­ceded in death by his two sons, Jonathan Ramey and Jerry Wayne Ramey, his mother, Tressa Ramey and one grand­son, Jer­ron Foster.

Sur­vivors in­clude his wife of 41 years, Mar­cia Smith Ramey; two daugh­ters, Jen­nif­fer Johnson and hus­band Matt of Winslow and Jil­lian Foster and hus­band John of West Fork; his fa­ther, Phineus Ramey of Winslow; one brother, Ralph Ramey and wife Reba of Winslow; four sis­ters, Becky Wil­son and hus­band Char­lie, Linda Arispe and hus­band Frank, Teresa Carroll and hus­band Bryan and Wanda Mathias and hus­band Way­land all of Winslow; five grand­chil­dren, Kee­gan Foster, Kennedy Foster, Kaden Foster, Han­nah Ramey-Johnson and Hai­ley Ramey-Johnson and a host of nieces and neph­ews.
