Bella Vista Property Owners Association ensures the perfect environment for residents

Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette - - VOICES -

The Bella Vista Property Owners Association was organized in 1965. The fundamental mission of the POA is to ensure that Bella Vista is the perfect environment for residents, and to ensure the city’s continued success for the future.

The private 36,000-acre recreational community offers something for everyone — seven golf courses offering 117 holes of golf, seven stocked private lakes, swimming pools, tennis courts, trail systems, recreational centers, fitness centers, a gun range, RV and camping park and more. Bella Vista property owners pay a monthly assessment fee to support the high cost of maintenance and improvement of amenities. Their identification cards allow them reduced pricing for amenity use and to bring guests. Non-members may use specific amenities (golf, lakes) for a higher fee. Most people don’t realize that non-members may utilize these amenities.

The Bella Vista Property Owners Association enhances each member’s quality of life by promoting and improving amenities and recreational areas in the Village. By building community support for parks and recreational lands, the POA strives to provide community service and outreach that meets the needs of members. The programs and services offered by the POA provide members with exceptional value and quality, while emphasizing the reasonable allocation of resources throughout the city. The POA ensures safe, attractive, and well-maintained facilities that reflect members’ needs and best interest.

With a population of more than 28,000, Bella Vista was ranked No. 3 in “Safest Cities in Arkansas” by The Safe Wise Report in 2016. Bella Vista was also ranked one of America’s Top 10 Best Healthy Places to Retire by U.S. News & World Report, as well as one of the Top 25 Best Places for Affordable Homes by CNNMoney.com and Money Magazine. The median age of residents is 50, with more younger families and residents moving into the area.

Recent Development

Lakepoint Restaurant & Event Center, which provides lake-side dining and event accommodations, opened in June and there are already more than 60 events booked, ranging from weddings and receptions to anniversaries.

This fall, the Country Club will also be renovated with a new restaurant.
