Council action

Bentonville City Council met Tuesday and approved:

■ Accepting a $4,000 Walton Family Foundation grant for 400 trees for the spring tree giveaway.

■ A $26,312 change order for TriStar Construction for moving water and sewer lines for the Eighth Street Improvement Project.

■ A $22,800 change order to Burns and McDonnell for the design to move the Eighth Street overhead electric lines.

■ Add three custodians at the Bentonville Utilities Complex.

■ A $2.4 million contract with Crossland Heavy Contractors for the Northwest Third Street phase III improvements.

■ A $42,000 agreement with Traffic Engineering Consultants for a signal timing study of 28 intersections in the city.
