The Glade Community Historical Society will hold its third general meeting of 2017 at 3 p.m. today at the Glade Post Office/ Store and Coal Gap School, 20659 Slate Gap Road in Garfield.
This is the third of four general meetings, a chance to tour the post office/store and school, eat ice cream, visit with other guests and listen to music provided by Adam Ash.
The BC Dems will meet at noon Monday at the Golden Corral, 2605 W. Pleasant Crossing in Rogers. Lunch will start at 11 a.m. The featured speaker will be Amy Gillespie, a candidate for Bentonville School Board.

The Washington County Democratic Women will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Mermaids Seafood Restaurant in Fayetteville.
The program, “The impact of Modern Sexism on the 2016 Presidential Election,” will be presented by co-authors Angie Maxwell, director of the Diane Blair Center of Southern Politics and Society, and Todd Shields, dean of the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences and professor of political science at the University of Arkansas. This new report analyzes American attitudes toward working women and feminism, along with the impact of those attitudes on last year’s presidential race. The report is the second in a series of reports based on the 2016 Blair Center Poll.
The program is free and open to the public. Dinner is optional and is $16. Reservations should be made by noon Monday.

The Northwest Arkansas Civil War Roundtable will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the General Store at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History in Springdale. The museum is located at 118 W. Johnson Ave.
The program will be presented by Pea Ridge National Park Ranger David Hackleroad, who will speak on “The Legacies of Robert E. Lee, Henry ‘Light Horse Harry’ Lee and George Washington.” The program is free and open to anyone with an interest in Civil War History.
