Po­lice iden­tify two in Sun­day shoot­ing

FAYETTEVILLE — Po­lice iden­ti­fied two men in­jured in a shoot­ing early Sun­day morn­ing out­side the Lit Lounge a block off Dick­son Street.

Po­lice con­firmed Ale­jan­dro Soto, 22, of Spring­dale and for­mer Ra­zor­back foot­ball player Se­bas­tian Tre­tola, 25, were shot by a man they are seek­ing.

The Ten­nessee Ti­tans is­sued a state­ment Sun­day say­ing Tre­tola was grazed by a bul­let and treated and re­leased from Washington Re­gional Med­i­cal Cen­ter. Tre­tola is a line­man with the NFL team. He played two sea­sons for the Ra­zor­backs.

The in­ci­dent oc­curred about 1:45 a.m. in a park­ing lot at 436 W. Wat­son St.

“The shoot­ing was pre­ceded by an al­ter­ca­tion be­tween two males,” Sgt. An­thony Mur­phy said Sun­day. “That al­ter­ca­tion es­ca­lated. One of the males pro­duced a hand­gun and fired shots.”

Tre­tola was in a ver­bal ar­gu­ment with the sus­pected shooter, ac­cord­ing to Mon­day’s news re­lease from the Fayetteville Po­lice Depart­ment.

Soto was treated at the hos­pi­tal and re­leased, Mur­phy said Mon­day. Soto was de­scribed Sun­day as a by­stander.

The sus­pect was de­scribed as 5 feet 8 inches tall with a lean build, ac­cord­ing to the re­lease.
