Bird­ing trip set at Ea­gle Watch

The North­west Arkansas Audubon So­ci­ety will host a field trip Aug. 5 along Ea­gle Watch Na­ture Trail at Swepco Lake near Gen­try. Meet in the park­ing lot two miles west of Gen­try on Arkansas 12 at 9 a.m.

Any­one in­ter­ested in birds is wel­come, mem­ber­ship is not re­quired. Trip lead­ers will be Joe Neal and Terry Stan­fill. The trip in­volves a short, level walk to a view­ing pavil­ion.

Birds to see in­clude two or more kinds of herons, egrets, white ibis, cor­morants and song­birds. A rare bird to Arkansas, a neotropic cor­morant, has been seen re­cently at the lake.
