Truck­ers set to hold safety conference

For truck­ers in­ter­ested in how Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump’s ad­min­is­tra­tion will af­fect the in­dus­try, there will be a safety conference in Lit­tle Rock next month hosted by the Arkansas Truck­ing As­so­ci­a­tion.

The two-day event be­gins at 8 a.m. Aug. 29 at the Em­bassy Suites in Lit­tle Rock. Mem­bers of the Arkansas Truck­ing As­so­ci­a­tion will pay $175, and non­mem­bers will pay $225.

Among the top­ics are the fu­ture of elec­tronic log­ging de­vices, in-cab cam­eras, an up­date from an of­fi­cial with the Fed­eral Mo­tor Car­rier Safety Ad­min­is­tra­tion, and safety reg­u­la­tions in­clud­ing la­bor stan­dards from the Oc­cu­pa­tional Safety and Health Ad­min­is­tra­tion.
