Van Buren, 1909 “I am going over to Alma today for a show & party.” The Crawford County Courthouse was built in a Georgian Revival style in 1878, using the bricks from an older courthouse first erected in 1841 and which burned in 1877. The marble monument on the lawn commemorated the Confederate dead. Send questions or comments to Arkansas Postcard Past, P.O. Box 2221, Little Rock, Ark. 72203.
