Rath Auto Resources to celebrate grand opening

Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette - - INTERNATIONAL - By Sarah Haney

Rath Auto Resources, of Springdale, will celebrate its grand opening Saturday, July 29. Located at 3558 S. Thompson St. This is the second location for the independent dealership with the other being located in Fort Smith. “The company was Putnam Lincoln Mercury for decades, but we started the Rath Auto Resources brand at the beginning of 2011,” stated General Manager David Rath. “We decided to go independent at that time.”

Rath Auto Resources carries a little bit of everything. All the vehicles are late model, premium pre-owned cars with mostly low mileage. “Our inventory consists of anything we feel is a good product,” added Rath. “That’s the great thing about being independent — we don’t have somebody telling us what we can and can’t carry. If we feel like it’s a good product that holds up well and is good for our customers, then we can carry more of those.”

Rath Auto Resources is always doing some kind of promotion — every month they will have a special promotion. “We’re always doing something, whether it’s extra money for your trade-in or up to so much off on our vehicles — there’s never going to be a month that doesn’t have something going on,” noted Rath.

Meineke Services

The Meineke Car Care Center, located directly behind Rath Auto Resources, was started in 2011. When the dealership went independent, they didn’t want to lose any of the services they really cared about. This sets Rath Auto Resources apart from the competition — they are an independent dealership with a fullservice shop. “It’s not just a place to get your oil changed. We do that, but it’s also a full-service shop,” stated Rath. The shop at the Fort Smith location is consistently rated in the top five in the world. They do excellent work and the customer service and satisfaction is wonderful — it’s a great way to take care of the buyers after the sale and it’s how the cars are made ready before the sale. A lot of money and care is spent on each vehicle through the service to ensure they are a good product before they are put on the lot.

Bank Financing

Rath Auto Resources does bank financing as well. “A lot of the stand-alone independent dealerships do the ‘Buy Here, Pay Here’ option,” said Rath. “That can get people stuck in a vicious cycle — you get the car, pay too much, it gives you trouble after two years, and you end up buying another one. For folks who have good credit, or for those with bad credit who want to get re-established, the fact that we do bank financing is crucial. My finance manager and I both have great relationships with credit unions regionally and national lenders. That’s something that makes Rath Auto Resources different and something they really hang their hat on. They are able to secure finance sources that typically independent dealers don’t get. Whether it’s a customer that wants to get the very lowest interest rate or somebody that is trying to get re-established and build their credit, this is something Rath Auto Resources is able to offer them.

Rath Auto Resources is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m. (for sales) and 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. (for service), They are also open on Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. (for sales) and 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. (for service),
