Message for president

Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette - - VOICES -

Dear Donald: Please tell me, if you have nothing to hide from the American people, why are you are being so obstructive and constantly issuing “smokescreens” to deter from the facts? If, as you say, all the information that has been “uncovered” by your security agencies, FBI and what I consider reliable news agencies is “fake news,” then it should not concern you! As president, your life, family (especially those who have “security clearance”) and, of course, your tax returns should be an open book.

To quote from the Bard, “The lady [or in this case the gentleman] doth protest too much, methinks.”

In case you are wondering about the meaning of this quote, it indicates doubt in someone’s sincerity.

Until you start behaving professionally and, dare I say, “presidential,” the 65 to 70 percent of people who view your presidency negatively with unfavorable ratings, might, just might view your presidency in a more positive light, but I sincerely doubt it. From observation, behaving professionally and “presidential” is beyond your capabilities.
