Ado­les­cent ser­vices of­fered at Spring­woods Be­hav­ioral Health

At Spring­woods Be­hav­ioral Health, ado­les­cent in­pa­tient care is speci cally de­signed to ad­dress the men­tal and be­hav­ioral health is­sues of clients ages 12 to 17. In­di­vid­u­als ex­pe­ri­enc­ing be­hav­ioral dis­tur­bances, the in­abil­ity to func­tion at home or school, or those with thoughts of hurt­ing them­selves or oth­ers may be ap­pro­pri­ate for Acute In­pa­tient Ser­vices.

Ev­ery client is pro­vided with the op­por­tu­nity to learn new skills to help achieve suc­cess. The goal is to sta­bi­lize the im­me­di­ate cri­sis to en­able the ado­les­cent to re­turn home and to the com­mu­nity with im­proved abil­ity to ex­press emo­tions, self-con­trol, and the de­vel­op­ment of pos­i­tive peer re­la­tion­ships. An em­pha­sis is placed on com­pre­hen­sive dis­charge plan­ning that pre­pares ap­pro­pri­ate af­ter­care and tran­si­tion back to com­mu­nity providers.

The treat­ment process be­gins with a com­pre­hen­sive eval­u­a­tion. An in­di­vid­u­al­ized treat­ment plan is cre­ated to meet the ther­a­peu­tic needs of each pa­tient. Treat­ment com­po­nents could in­clude:

Drug Al­co­hol Ed­u­ca­tion.

School Pro­gram.

Recre­ational Ther­apy.

Par­ent Fam­ily Ed­u­ca­tion.
