Bank of Ozarks gets top mark for assets
Bank of the Ozarks has been named the top performing bank in the country in its asset category for the fifth straight year by Bank Director magazine.
Bank Director’s bank performance scorecard evaluates and ranks the 300 largest publicly traded banks. Bank of the Ozarks, with $20 billion in assets, is in the $5 billion to $50 billion category.
The magazine used five measurements related to profitability, capital strength and asset quality to determine the No. 1 bank.
It marks the 11th time in seven years that national organizations have named the Little Rock bank as No. 1 in the nation.
S&P Global Market Intelligence (formerly SNL Financial) has named Bank of the Ozarks the No. 1 bank four times and the ABA Banking Journal has twice ranked it as the country’s top bank.
