Lit­tle Rock, circa 1918 King Tire Co. did busi­ness at the south­east cor­ner of Fourth and Cen­ter streets at a time when a new Ford cost be­tween $300 and $600, de­pend­ing on the model. Stand­ing in the mid­dle in a long coat was an Army of­fi­cer, most likely from Camp Pike, then train­ing troops for World War I.
