Arts Live Theatre celebrates outstanding performances

Arts Live Theatre Executive Director Mark Landon Smith says that the renowned Northwest Arkansas children’s theater company will be celebrating its own at the upcoming Arts Live Theatre Awards and “Fun-Raiser” this Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at the theater at 818 N. Sang Ave. in Fayetteville.

“The Arts Live Theatre Awards are an annual celebration recognizing contributions made by ALT students on stage and off, throughout the previous season,” says Smith. “Technical and performance awards are presented based upon distributed ballots.”

Awards are broken down by age group — high school, middle school and elementary school — and will be given in both acting and technical categories.

“In addition, awards are given by the directors of each production,” says Smith, and adds that there are a variety of general awards that include “the Newbie Award, the Executive Director Award and the Arts Live Theatre Spirit Award.”

Tickets — which include food, drink, entertainment and the awards ceremony — may be purchased online at artslivethe, by phone at 521-4932 or at the door. Proceeds from the event will support Arts Live Theatre programming.

Arts Live Theatre will celebrate the students that give the organization its spark at the Arts Live Theatre Awards on Saturday.
