A change of attitudes

-

Re the movie Detroit: I was born and raised in the heart of Detroit. I had to ride the bus to and from work and walk home during those tumultuous times of the 1967 riots.

From my memory’s standpoint, it was very frightening, but I agreed with the black people’s actions over the injustices they received. I was in the minority with my family and friends, but I knew in my heart what was right, and that time formed the mind and heart I have today.

I’ve never understood any type of racism and hope people who have this in their heart will soften and change their attitudes for the good of our people.
