Original headquarters building history

Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette - - NORTHWEST ARKANSAS -

The building was originally constructed around 1920 and formerly the home of the Springdale Produce Co., which was owned and operated by John W. Tyson, John Tyson’s grandfather. A fire damaged the building in the early 1950s but it was razed and rebuilt in 1952 and became home to Tyson’s Feed & Hatchery until 1969 when the company, now known as Tyson Foods, moved to its current location, 2200 W. Don Tyson Parkway, according to Worth Sparkman, Tyson’s external communications spokesman.
