Grant to fund work on data patterns
FAYETTEVILLE — A $300,000 grant will support a University of Arkansas, Fayetteville researcher’s work to quickly identify unusual data patterns.
Jingxian Wu, an electrical engineering associate professor, received the award from the National Science Foundation’s Division of Electrical, Communications and Cyber Systems.
“The expected outcomes of the project include a set of theories and practical algorithms that can be used to detect anomaly events with minimum delays,” Wu said in a statement released by UA. “The algorithms can then be applied to various applications, such as the cybersecurity of power grids or the safety of critical infrastructure.”
