412 Bypass work to close road lanes through week
LOWELL — Crews erecting bridge beams for the U.S. 412 bypass will require closing all lanes on South Goad Springs Road in Benton County for multiple 15- minute periods all week.
Workers will periodically close all lanes from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today through Friday, weather permitting, between West Apple Blossom Road and Puppy Creek Road, according to Arkansas Department of Highway and Transportation officials.
The work also will necessitate closing son the Razorback Greenway.
The project is part of the department’s Connecting Arkansas Program.
The contractor is constructing about 4 miles of the four- lane U. S. 412 Northern Bypass, which extends from Interstate 49 to Arkansas 112.
The project is expected to be completed in mid2018 and will provide a principal east- west route north of the Springdale area.
More information on the $ 100.6 million project is available at Connecting ArkansasProgram.com.
