POA fined for violations

Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette - - NORTHWEST ARKANSAS - LYNN ATKINS

BELLA VISTA — An offer of settlement from the Alcohol Beverage Control Board to the Property Owners Association has been received and accepted, General Manager Tom Judson said on Monday.

The settlement included three fines for three Class C violations, according to ABC Director Mary Robin Casteel.

In a complaint dated June 14, three violations were described. Alcohol had been moved from Lakepoint Event Center to the Highlands Clubhouse. Both locations have permits under the name of POA Business Director Tommy Lee, but the permits do not allow alcohol to be moved between locations. Lakepoint was in violation for allowing the alcohol to be moved, and Highlands was in violation for accepting it from someone other than a permitted distributor.

Also, the permit for alcohol sales at Highlands Clubhouse was not posted. They were not yet selling alcohol, but because they had it on the premises a posted permit was required.

The fine for each Class C violation is $200.
